An update on Sapixcraft development — all you need to know!
After almost a year I’m back with another post!
In this post I’ll give you a little recap of all the new releases for Sapixcraft since then like new Add-ons, mod support and more!
Sapixcraft for 1.21
In the last few weeks I’ve released numerous updates for 1.21 - I release these under “pre-release“ updates on Patreon now.
These updates are less polished than the actual releases but it give people the chance to get the latest Sapixcraft version quicker!
✨ New 1.21 features
Mojang has been very kind to release new useful tools to resource pack creators!
They gave us the possibility to create custom inventory hover and tooltip textures seen in the image below.
I went with a slightly darker background and a gold border when you hover an item and for the tooltip I made a simple clean design with rounded corners and a slight 3D effect.
Another thing they added is the ability to create custom eating textures for food! I’ve made one for cooked chicken and the carrot! I’m planning to do the others later once 1.21.4 is out of preview (this will release in the next update)

➕ New Add-ons!
The last time I’ve talked about an add-on here was back in 2020! almost 5 years ago. 😅 Since then I’ve made more!
You might have seen them or not but I’ve released a total of 5 add-ons since then these include; Lush Foliage, Fancy Stands, PVP, colossal items and the Xmas add-on.
I’ll give a little rundown of the last 2, you can see the full list here
🌿 Lush Foliage Add-on
This add-on changes the block model of each leaf, grass and vine block, making the world feel way more natural and varied. more info
🛡️ Fancy Stands mini Add-on
The minecraft armor stands always have been weirdly shaped to me so I make a custom model for them! Making them look like they’re made with hay. Now they look like a scarecrow if you want them to! more info
⚙️ New Mod Support!
🏝️ Snad Mod Patch
I thought I’d start simple with the first mod to support with Sapixcraft and no better mod to describe simple than the Snad mod with it’s 43mil downloads!
All it does is add 2 new block variants for sand and soul sand making it ‘snad’ and ‘soul snad‘. more info
🔮 Future plans
I have some future plans I’d like to share!
I’m working on releasing 1.21 on Bedrock soon as well as a new Java Add-on —
🎵 New add-on: Music producer Xulo and I will be collaborating on adding chill lo-fi music to the game! It will be exclusive to Patrons for a few months once it releases and then it will become part of the main Sapixcraft pack or as an add-on.
1.21 Bedrock: In the background I’m working on the release of 1.21 on the Marketplace.
